About our care
What is Doctors-To-You?
We are a team of licensed Manitoba physicians who bring care to you, either as a house call at home or as a visit by phone or secure video. It is for non-emergency care and covered by Manitoba Health.
Are these real doctors?
Yes. Every visit is with a physician licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, the same regulator that oversees clinic and hospital doctors.
What kind of things can you help with?
Everyday, non-emergency concerns such as illnesses and infections, prescription renewals, follow-ups, result reviews, and minor issues. If something needs different care, we will point you in the right direction.
What should I do in an emergency?
Our care is for non-emergency concerns only. If you are facing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
Coverage and cost
Are your visits really covered by Manitoba Health?
Yes. With a valid Manitoba Health card, your visit is billed directly to Manitoba Health, the same as a clinic appointment, so there is no cost to you for the visit.
What do I need to be covered?
A valid Manitoba Health card. Give us your card number when you book and we confirm your coverage before the visit.
Are my medications covered?
The visit and writing the prescription are covered. The medication itself is paid at the pharmacy, though Manitoba Pharmacare or private insurance may cover part or all of the cost.
Will I ever be charged a fee?
Not for an insured visit. A small number of items, such as certain third party forms, sit outside Manitoba Health. If anything carries a fee, we tell you clearly before your visit.
What if I do not have a Manitoba Health card?
Call us at 204-586-6655. If you are new to Manitoba, waiting on a card, or unsure about your status, our team will help you understand your options before booking.
Home visits and service area
Do you visit my neighbourhood?
We cover much of Winnipeg and nearby areas. The quickest way to check is our Service Areas page, or call 204-586-6655 and we will confirm your address.
Can I get a same-day home visit?
Often, yes. Same-day availability depends on demand and your location. Call early in the day for the best chance and we will let you know what we can do.
Do you visit apartments and seniors’ residences?
Yes. We visit private homes, apartments, and residences within our service area. Tell us the details when you book so we can find you easily.
What if I live outside your home-visit area?
You can still see a Manitoba physician by phone or secure video. Virtual visits are available anywhere in the province and are covered the same way.
Virtual and phone visits
Are virtual and phone visits covered?
Yes. Manitoba Health covers insured virtual and phone visits at the same rate as in-person care. You only need a valid health card and to be in Manitoba at the time of your appointment.
Do I need to be in a specific area for a virtual visit?
No. Virtual care has no service area. You only need to be physically located in Manitoba at the time of your appointment, anywhere in the province.
What can a doctor treat by phone or video?
Many non-emergency concerns, including prescription renewals, cold and flu symptoms, minor infections, result reviews, and follow-ups. If a physical exam is needed, we can arrange an in-home visit.
Phone or video, which one do I get?
Either, based on what works for you and your concern. Both connect you with the same licensed Manitoba physicians, and secure video lets the doctor see you when that helps.
Booking a visit
How do I book a visit?
Three ways: call 204-586-6655, book online, or fill out the request form and we will call you back. Have your Manitoba Health card ready so we can confirm your coverage.
What happens after I book?
Our team confirms your details and sets a time. Then a physician comes to your home or calls you, fully covered by Manitoba Health.
How should I prepare for my visit?
Have your Manitoba Health card handy, a list of your current medications, and any questions you want to ask. For a home visit, a well-lit room helps.
Still have a question?
Our team is glad to help. Call 204-586-6655 or send us a message and we will get back to you.
